Don’t worry about your level! Concerns that you’re ‘not good enough’ or ‘too advanced’ are almost always unnecessary.
Our camps are not designed for first-time skiers. Participants should be able to ski independently and comfortably control their speed on blue runs.
During every camp (including our Family Camps), participants are placed in small training groups according to their real skill level. This ensures that:
If you’re unsure about your skill level, contact us — we’ll help you choose the right option.
Most of our camps that aren’t designed for families (like the Family Camp) are for adults aged 18 and over.
If you’re looking for a camp that includes youth programs, explore our Family Camps — we offer training for kids and teens under their parents’ supervision.
Travel to the camp destination is self-organized — participants can arrive by car, train, or plane.
"You’ll find detailed directions to each camp — including the venue address and suggested airports or train stations — in the trip description within the Camp Offers section.
Congratulations! Your place at the chosen camp is secured once the deposit is paid. Here’s what happens next:
We always recommend using your own well-maintained skis — the ones you feel confident on. For training, Piste/Race skis with a turn radius of about 14–17 meters are ideal.
If necessary, or if you’d like to try a different setup, our partner’s test equipment will be available on-site and can be used during training in a limited capacity. Our instructors will help you make the best use of it — but remember, your own well-fitted boots are absolutely essential!
Make sure to bring a full set of properly fitted equipment appropriate for your level. A helmet is compulsory for all participants, and especially important for kids!
Tatra Ski Academy doesn’t have its own ski rental service. We recommend using professional ski rental shops in the camp location — a great way to support local businesses while ensuring you have quality equipment.
Just let the rental staff know why you need the skis (for example, Performance Camp / technique improvement) and your skill level — they’ll help you select the perfect equipment for your training.
Reminder: we’ll have a limited amount of test equipment from our partner available on-site. It’s not a rental service, but can be used in emergencies or for trying out new gear. For a full set of skis for the trip, please rent from a professional ski shop.
Below is a list of must-have items for a safe and comfortable experience on and off the slopes. You’ll receive a full, destination-specific packing list (including things like pool access or evening activities) in your confirmation email.
For your own safety and in accordance with the regulations, all participants must have valid Travel and Personal Accident Insurance which covers on-slope accidents and skiing.
The responsibility for selecting the policy and tailoring it to the specific activities rests with the participant. We always recommend thoroughly familiarizing yourself with the insurance terms and conditions.
Absolutely! If the second person wishes to participate in the camp, please purchase an additional spot during the online booking process.
During checkout, you will be asked to provide the personal details of each participant in the booking form (First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, Skiing/Riding Level). This information is essential for booking accommodation, insurance, and purchasing personalized/named lift tickets (skipasses).
If you wish to bring someone who will not be participating in the training (joining only as a companion), please contact Tatra Ski Academy by email or phone before making your reservation. We will help you book a suitable room and arrange the additional accommodation fee for this person.
Please note: the camps have an intensive training schedule. If your companion does not join the group, they may feel left out while you are busy on the slopes all day. We always encourage everyone to join the fun!
